Day 1 — Airport Meet & Greet – Let your 6 Night Luxury Tour begin

Meet on arrival at Dublin / Shannon Airport. Travel southwards in the direction of Limerick and Adare. Stop at Adare for photos of this very quaint picturesque village of thatched cottages and ancient monastic heritage. On towards Newcastlewest for visit of it’s superb Castle. Continue towards Ballyseede Castle for overnight.

Day 2 – Private Tour of Dingle & Slea Head Drive

A private tour of Dingle & Slea Head drive for breathtaking scenery on the Wild Atlantic Way. Stop when you want and for as long as you wish to enjoy this amazing landscape. In my 20 odd years touring Ireland, the Dingle Peninsula is my favourite of all. Green fields, white sandy beaches and the rugged Wild Atlantic Way. Sheep, seagulls, donkeys and Dingle harbour which even has its own resident dolphin called ‘fungie’. The dolphin is in the headlines at the moment as is gone missing. He has been here for 37 years. Dingle is very colorful with quirky shops and great restaurants.

See where the filming of ‘Ryan’s Daughter‘ took place on Slea Head Drive. It has amazing views onto the Blasket Islands in the Atlantic ocean, & it is said that on a clear day the statue of liberty can be seen from here!

Listen to the Gaelic language being spoken. Visit Gallarus Oratory and hear all about St Brendan’s voyage. . . he discovered America before Columbus. Return via ‘The Conor Pass’ with it’s stunning views in mountainous landscape overlooking Tralee Bay on the Wild Atlantic Way. The road that descends the mountain is very narrow but your local driver is well used to it! You just sit back and take it all in. A very memorable day.

Day 3 – Private Ring of Kerry Tour

Our tour includes a tour of Valentia Island and the Skellig Ring at the very Western tip of the Ring of Kerry. If you take a coach tour you will not get to see any of this breathtaking scenery which is why a private tour is so much better. The roads tend to be narrow here which makes it unsuitable for coaches. Let us worry about the roads while you relax and take in the scenery and the stories told by your professional driver/guide.

Visit Ballycarbery castle ruin and Cahergall fairy fort

Take car ferry to Valentia Island. (we can drive there if you prefer)

Stop at tetrapod trackway and Valentia Slate Quarry for photographs

Lunch at Portmagee.

Continue to Kerry cliffs (optional walk)

Visit to skellig chocolate factory (optional)

Continue towards Waterville, Coomakista, Cahirdaniel and Sneem. From Sneem, take the mountain road to Molls Gap and descend to Killarney National Park. Stop and visit Torc Waterfall.

Check into hotel in Killarney for overnight.

Day 4 – Private tour of Killarney Town and National Park

Private tour of Killarney Town and National Park, taking in all the scenic highlights of the region. The park has 26,000 acres of mountains, lakes, native woodlands with breathtaking scenery. So much to see!

Ladies View – panoramic view onto the lakes of Killarney, named after the ladies in waiting for Queen Victoria who used to come here to take in the views.

Muckross House & Gardens – Beautiful stately home of the Herbert family who hosted Queen Victoria during her visit to Killarney in 1861. Surrounded by stunning gardens with views onto Muckross Lake.
Muckross Abbey – Built in 1448 and home to the Franciscan Friars until it’s destruction during the Cromwellian period. Visit the ruined abbey in it’s stunning setting.
Ross Castle – 15 century tower house on the shore of Louth Leane
Killarney House & Gardens – Once home to the Kenmare family who were largely responsible for the development of Killarney, to the bustling tourist town it Is today. More recently, it has been the retirement home of John Mc Shain, ‘ the builder of Washington’, who built the Pentagon, Jefferson Memorial, Washington airport and redesigned the Whitehouse.

Check into your Killarney Hotel for overnight.

Day 5 – Blarney, Cork and Kinsale

Begin with a visit to Blarney Castle and it’s beautiful gardens. Built nearly 600 years ago by one of Ireland’s greatest chieftains, Cormac McCarthy, and is today one of Ireland’s leading attractions. Now that might have something to do with the legendary Blarney Stone at the top of the castle. Kiss it and you will never again be lost for words. From the top of the castle you get incredible views of the 60 acres of gardens which surround the castle. Option to visit the Blarney Woollen Mills afterwards. The retail store is housed in one of Ireland’s oldest and most authentic Irish woollen mills.

Panoramic Cork City Tour

Continue on for a panoramic Cork city tour. See St. Patrick’s St, the City Hall, Kent Station, the Victorian quarter, St. Finbarre’s Cathedral, Shandon, the Cork City Gaol and UCC. Optional visit to the English Market.

Kinsale for lunch & visit

Continue towards Kinsale with stop at Charles fort for photos. Kinsale is famous as the gourmet capital of Ireland with lots of great restaurants to choose from. Walking tour of Kinsale after lunch and visit to the Ringfinnan Garden of Remembrance. This is dedicated to the memory of Fr. Mychal Judge, Chaplain in the New York Fire Department and to the 343 brave firefighters, who so courageously lost their lives in New York in September 11th 2001. Return to Killarney for overnight.

Day 6 – Gougane Barra, Bantry & Glengarriff

If you are looking for some of Ireland’s scenic countryside to visit, Gougane Barra, Bantry & Glengarriff has it all! An area of magical unspoilt & outstanding beauty in the South West of Ireland.

Gougane Barra

Here, on a tiny island on the peacful lake is the remains of a 6th century monastic site founded by St. Finbarr, patron saint of Cork city. Many couples choose to get married in the tiny church here because of it’s magical location. It’s one of the most photograped churches in this part of Ireland.

Bantry

A busy market town and fishing port. Bantry House is one of Ireland’s most attractive Great Houses full of treasures collected by various generations of Earls of Bantry. Optional visit.

Glengarriff

Situated at the foot of the Caha mountains where the mountains meet the sea, Glengarriff is famed for it’s natural beauty. A short boat trip will take you to Garnish Island which is famous for it’s Italian style gardens, Visit to the seal rocks on the way to the Island. The house once owned by the actress Maureen O’Hara can be seen from the boat. Optional.

Travel over the Caha Mountains through rugged scenery with beautiful views from above down onto Bantry Bay. Travel towards Kenmare and through Killarney National Park into Killarney, with fabulous views of the lakes of Killarney. Overnight in Killarney.
